Magatar Mining

Magatar is a privately held energy production company that specializes in underground continuous mining. At present Magatar conducts business in Australia and South Africa. In addition,opportunities are being investigated in other parts of Southern Africa such as Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Magatar differentiates itself in the competitive coal mining industry through its unique Linear Continuous Mining Methodology ("the LCM Methodology"), that was designed, developed and patented by Magatar.

Compared with traditional underground coal extraction methods, the utilization of the LCM Methodology results in coal being extracted more efficiently, at a lower cost and with much less risk to human life and the environment. In addition, coal deposits which are regarded as too thin to be extracted economically through traditional methods, can be mined cost-effectively.
